Recipe from All Recipes

This was a Christmas gift I made for some family members.  I actually doubled the recipe and made about 56 ounces of it and put it into 6 ounce corked bottles.

Make sure you sterilize whatever bottle or jar you put this into.

1 c water
1 c white sugar
1/2 c brown sugar
2 c vodka
2 T almond extract
2 t vanilla extract

Combine water and sugars in a saucepan over medium heat.  Heat until mixture is boiling, and all of the sugar is dissolved.  Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

Stir in the vodka, almond and vanilla extracts and then store in sealed bottles.
